Daegu City is accelerating the establishment of the Daegu Policy Research Institute, a research institution specialized in the region, by appointing the first director to support the planning and execution of core tasks for the next 50 years.
The Daegu Policy Research Institute Director Candidate Recommendation Committee recently conducted an open recruitment for the director position, and after document screening and interviews, recommended two final candidates to Daegu City.
Appointee Park Yang-ho graduated from Gyeongbuk High School and Seoul National University, earned a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of California, Berkeley, and served as the 12th and 13th director of the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements as well as the 1st and 2nd director of the Changwon City Research Institute.
