View original image[Asia Economy, Reporter Oh Sooyeon] LG Uplus announced on December 27 that it will be running a subscription event for its kids-only online video service (OTT) "Idelnara" until next month. Subscribers will have a chance to receive prizes such as a Dyson hair dryer worth approximately 500,000 KRW, board games, and Naver Points.
Launched last month as part of the U+3.0 "Four Major Platforms" strategy, Idelnara offers a total of around 50,000 pieces of content, including approximately 10,000 interactive titles. It also provides a personalized content recommendation service based on 1,200 detailed metadata categories, as well as a monthly growth report for children based on their usage history.
To allow more customers to experience Idelnara, LG Uplus is currently offering a one-month free subscription for the first month of sign-up. For these free trial users, the company will give away board games-either the "Catch Tiniping Memory Game" or the "Dinosaur Memory Game," both designed to enhance children's memory and concentration-to the first 10,000 participants on a first-come, first-served basis until the end of next month.
Additionally, all paying subscribers who have been members for more than one month will receive 5,000 KRW in Naver Points, and will be entered into a draw to win a "Dyson Supersonic Professional" hair dryer. This event runs until the 19th of next month.
Anyone can participate in the Idelnara subscription event by subscribing to a pass through the dedicated app and entering via the event page, regardless of their mobile carrier.
On the official Idelnara Instagram account, another event is being held until the 8th of next month. By participating in the "IdolBTI Test" and sharing the results as a post, users can enter a draw to win a 100,000 KRW Outback Steakhouse voucher (5 winners) or a Starbucks coffee gifticon (50 winners).
IdolBTI is a kids' version of the currently popular MBTI personality test. Through 12 simple questions, it categorizes children into 16 personality types based on their responses. In addition to the 16 personality types, the test results also provide "Our Child's Smile Points" and "Our Child's Pouting Points," making it more fun for parents to understand their children.
