Saemaeul Geumgo Donates 200 Million Won Raised from ‘Jomdori Movement’
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 27th that warm-hearted support continues to help vulnerable groups as the cold winter approaches.
At 11 a.m. on the same day, the city held a 'Love Rice Donation Ceremony' for vulnerable groups at Seoul City Hall in collaboration with the Dongan Welfare Foundation. Through the donation ceremony, the Dongan Welfare Foundation donated 7,500 bags of 10kg rice worth 190 million KRW.
Kim Hyung-jun, CEO of the Dongan Welfare Foundation, said, "We are grateful to be able to share warm hearts amid the economic difficulties caused by COVID-19," adding, "We thank everyone who participated in bringing new hope to the hearts of many struggling in the cold through small sharing and service."
At 11 a.m. tomorrow, Saemaeul Geumgo will hold a donation ceremony to contribute 200 million KRW raised through the 'Love Jomdori Movement.' Sung Sung-sik, Vice Chairman of the Saemaeul Geumgo Seoul Regional Headquarters Council, said, "We hope that the Love Jomdori Movement, which has continued for 20 years, will help the neighbors in need in Seoul," and added, "We will always strive to be Saemaeul Geumgo that practices love by sharing with local residents."
