Seongnam City Free Public Wi-Fi Service in Wirye Square and Changgokcheon Area
[Asia Economy (Seongnam) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province is establishing public Wi-Fi zones in Wirye Plaza and the Changgokcheon area to provide citizens with free wireless internet access services.
On the 26th, Seongnam City announced that it has taken over and will operate 16 public Wi-Fi access devices and other facilities installed by the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), the construction developer of the Wirye area.
The Wi-Fi facilities were installed in anticipation that the Wirye Line tram (scheduled to open in 2025) will pass from Wirye Central Plaza in Changgok-dong, Sujeong-gu, Seongnam City, through Changgokcheon.
The access devices provide Wi-Fi within a radius of 100 meters, offering a stable internet usage environment.
The wireless internet connection speed allows downloading an ultra-high-definition (UHD) movie in 30 seconds.
To use Seongnam City's public Wi-Fi, select 'G_PublicWiFi@SeongNam' in your smartphone's Wi-Fi settings and then press connect.
