According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters, the fire burned one of the two factory buildings, a manufacturing plant covering 3,550㎡, and internal equipment and parts were reduced to ashes.
At the time, strong winds and the factory materials made of flammable sandwich panel structures caused some difficulties in extinguishing the fire, but all flames were put out by 3:03 p.m.
A Level 1 response was issued around 11 a.m., mobilizing equipment from 3 to 7 nearby fire stations, and was lifted after 30 minutes.
At the scene, 39 vehicles including fire trucks and ambulances and about 140 personnel were deployed, and about 50 wildfire firefighters were also dispatched to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby hills.
About 10 people who were at the factory evacuated to a safe place, and there were no casualties.
