Formation of Regional Health Care Council, First Meeting Held
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 21st, Damyang County in Jeonnam announced on the 22nd that it formed a local medical community and a regional health care council to contribute to the improvement of residents' health and held the first meeting.
The meeting was attended by County Governor Lee Byeongno, the head of the health center, the chief of Damyang Fire Station, the president of Damyang County Medical Association, the president of Damyang County Pharmaceutical Association, the director of Damyang Sarang Hospital, and the chairman of Mudeungsan Ecological Nursing Hospital.
At the meeting, a certificate awarding ceremony was held, and they discussed the establishment of a cooperative system between local governments and the local medical community to prepare for the spread of new infectious diseases such as COVID-19, and the formation of a council to strengthen response capabilities and its operational direction.
Going forward, the county plans to contribute to the improvement of local residents' health by building an infectious disease response system tailored to regional characteristics through close cooperation with participating institutions and deeply discussing mid- to long-term development plans.
