Jeong Gyeong-du, Former Minister of National Defense, Appointed as President of Construction Alumni Association
[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu, Military Specialist Reporter] Jeong Gyeong-du, former Minister of National Defense, has been appointed as the 30th president of the Air Force Academy Alumni Association.
According to the Air Force Academy Alumni Association on the 22nd, the new president Jeong was appointed through the regular general meeting held that day and is expected to lead the association starting next year.
President Jeong graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1982 as part of the 30th class and has served as commander of the 1st Air Combat Wing, commander of the Southern Combat Command, deputy chief of staff of the Air Force, director of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Strategic Planning Division, the 35th Chief of Staff of the Air Force, the 40th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the 46th Minister of National Defense.
