Gijang-gun Jeonggwan-eup Administrative Welfare Center Opens Art Hall Exhibition... Creating a Community Cultural Space Using the 2nd Floor Lobby Area
On December 21, the Art Hall opening ceremony was held at the Jeonggwan-eup Administrative Welfare Center in Gijang-gun.
View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] The Administrative Welfare Center of Jeonggwan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan, has created an art hall, a cultural space for residents, by utilizing the lobby space on the 2nd floor of the eup office building, and will hold an opening exhibition from December 21 to January 31 of next year.
This opening exhibition features 10 artists including Kim Myunghwa, Kim Jungwon, Kim Jilhyeon, Saraso, and Song Youngmyung, presenting over 20 works such as oil paintings, watercolors, and abstract pieces created through communion with beautiful nature to the local residents.
On the morning of the 21st, an opening ceremony was held in the lobby on the 2nd floor of the eup office building, attended by local organization leaders including Kim Jongcheon, head of Jeonggwan-eup, Ryu Haehwan, chairman of the Jeonggwan-eup Village Chief Council, Jang Haedong, chairman of the Jeonggwan-eup Development Council, and Park Hokyung, chairman of the Jeonggwan-eup Sports Association.
Kim Jongcheon, head of Jeonggwan-eup, said, “We remodeled the office building last November at a cost of about 700 million won and created a wonderful exhibition hall in the 2nd floor lobby space. We expect this to provide Jeonggwan residents visiting the Administrative Welfare Center with opportunities to enjoy art and culture, while also contributing to the development of local culture and arts.” He added, “I thank the many artists who willingly contributed their hearts to this exhibition. We will continue to hold exhibitions regularly and strive for mutual growth with local artists.”
