Gwangju Chamber of Commerce Holds the 2nd Corporate ESG Management Support Council Meeting
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Jeong Chang-seon) announced on the 21st that it held the '2nd Corporate ESG Management Support Council.'
The '2nd Corporate ESG Management Support Council' was promoted as part of the 'Corporate ESG Management Activation Support Project,' which is being implemented together with Gwangju Metropolitan City to raise awareness of ESG management in the region and closely support the introduction of ESG management by local companies.
About 15 participants attended, including executives and employees of representative companies in various industries with business sites in our region such as Kia Corporation, Marine Energy Co., Ltd., and Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch, as well as academia, legal circles, related organizations, and local government ESG management officials.
This council was held to share the achievements of the 'Corporate ESG Management Activation Support Project,' monitor the ESG response status by industry, and discover customized ESG support tasks.
The agenda proceeded in the order of reporting the achievements of the Corporate ESG Management Activation Support Project, sharing and listening to opinions on major ESG status by sector, and discovering new ESG policy tasks for the next year.
