Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education to Hire 148 Additional Kitchen Assistants... Applications Open from the 27th
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 21st that it will hire additional kitchen assistants working in school cafeterias.
In this recruitment, a total of 148 people will be additionally selected from the Gangdong-Songpa Education Support Office (68 people) and the Gangnam-Seocho Education Support Office (80 people).
Last month, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education conducted an open recruitment for 10 types of educational public officials, including kitchen assistants, special education assistants, and care coordinators. However, the Gangdong-Songpa and Gangnam-Seocho Education Support Offices experienced a shortage in the kitchen assistant category due to fewer applicants than the number of positions available.
Applications for the additional recruitment can be submitted via email or by visiting the Education Support Office in person from the 27th to the 29th. There are no residency restrictions, so all job seekers, including residents of Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, are eligible to apply.
The recruitment process consists of a first round of document screening and a second round of interviews. The interviews will be held on January 14th of next year at designated interview locations for each Education Support Office.
The final successful candidates will be announced on January 18th of next year and will be assigned to public schools under the jurisdiction of Gangdong, Songpa, Gangnam, and Seocho districts starting in March next year.
After passing, candidates will undergo four days of pre-employment training before hiring, followed by a three-month probation and evaluation period, after which they will obtain a permanent contract status. The retirement age is guaranteed up to 60 years old.
