Kibo's 'Chogyeokcha Future Strategic Industry Preferential Support Program' Surpasses 380 Billion Won
Leading the Support for Super-Gap Future Strategic Industries
Overcoming the Complex Economic Crisis
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 19th that the amount supported through the 'AC-DC Program (Ultra-Gap Future Strategic Industry Preferential Support Program),' implemented in August this year to overcome the complex economic crisis and lead the establishment of a future-leading economy, has surpassed 380 billion KRW.
The 'AC-DC Program' is a preferential support program that provides exchange (AC) support measures to companies suffering management difficulties due to the complex economic crisis among next-generation future strategic industry companies, helping them overcome challenges together, and supplies direct current (DC) growth engines to promising growth companies poised to become global leading enterprises.
This program has designated 17 industries across five major sectors as ultra-gap future strategic industries to successfully promote government national tasks such as securing future industry ultra-gap advantages: ▲Advanced Manufacturing (aerospace, marine, next-generation semiconductors, next-generation displays, next-generation batteries, materials/components/equipment) ▲Energy (next-generation nuclear power, hydrogen energy, future energy) ▲Digital & Communications (next-generation communications, networks, cybersecurity, quantum technology) ▲Automation (AI, big data, next-generation mobility, robotics) ▲Bio (red bio, green bio, white bio, digital healthcare).
To ensure the successful execution of the program, Kibo launched a dedicated team called the 'Alpha Team' composed of headquarters and branch office staff upon the program's implementation in August this year. The Alpha Team proactively identified ultra-gap technology companies and reviewed support measures suitable for each company's situation, such as technology guarantees and consulting, to provide customized support. Through this, Kibo proactively discovered a total of eight companies with excellent technological capabilities but facing management difficulties and achieved results by providing 5.6 billion KRW through expedited screening.
