[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 17th, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, attended the opening ceremony of Dohwa Youth Culture House located in Dohwa-dong, Mapo-gu, and toured the newly remodeled youth cultural space.
Opened in 2013 in the former Dohwa-dong Community Center building, Dohwa Youth Culture House had long faced the need for facility reinforcement and creation of a comfortable space due to the aging building that was over 30 years old.
Accordingly, the district invested a total project cost of 1.99 billion KRW to carry out a full remodeling and extension construction, reorganizing the space so that local youth and residents can enjoy leisure activities in a pleasant environment.
The newly opened Dohwa Youth Culture House features distinctive spaces that actively reflect the opinions of its main users, the youth, including ▲dance and music practice rooms ▲youth caf? ▲cooking practice room ▲upcycle workshop ▲media room, among others.
