Recruitment of Operators for 'Yangnim-dong Beodeulsoop Youth Creative Center' in Nam-gu, Gwangju
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is publicly recruiting an operator for the Yangnim-dong Beodeulsup Youth Creation Center, a hub for youth cultural and artistic activities.
Nam-gu announced on the 15th, "To publicly recruit an operator for the Yangnim-dong Beodeulsup Youth Creation Center, we have posted the application procedures on the Nam-gu Office website," adding, "To select the operator, related documents will be accepted for one day on the 23rd, followed by a proposal presentation and Q&A evaluation process to finalize the operator."
After being selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's urban regeneration project competition, Nam-gu invested about 1.6 billion KRW to recently construct the Yangnim-dong Beodeulsup Youth Creation Center near Yangnim Five-way Intersection, with one basement floor and two above-ground floors.
This place will be used as a space to support communication and creative activities for local and youth artists.
The first floor is 42 pyeong (137.25㎡) in size, consisting of two common areas, three multipurpose rooms for various meetings and creative activities, and restrooms.
The second floor is 38 pyeong (125.73㎡) in size, equipped with one common area, four multipurpose rooms, and restrooms.
Applicants must be individuals, corporate businesses, or organizations with a vision for capabilities and development directions for urban regeneration and revitalization of village communities, and must have an address in Gwangju.
After receiving applications, Nam-gu will conduct an evaluation on the 27th at the 7th-floor situation room of the district office through a business plan proposal presentation and Q&A session.
The evaluation criteria will include feasibility, sustainability, and public interest of the business plan, and the final operator selection is expected to be announced on the 28th.
The annual rent for the Yangnim-dong Beodeulsup Youth Creation Center is approximately 19.85 million KRW, and the operator will receive a shared property usage fee reduction benefit based on the Nam-gu Shared Property Management Ordinance.

A Nam-gu official stated, "We plan to utilize the space for various purposes such as improving creative conditions for local and youth artists, exhibitions, education, and startup support," adding, "We will do our best to operate the facility so that the Yangnim-dong Beodeulsup Youth Creation Center becomes a complex cultural space."
