Busan Geumjeong Police Station announced on the 15th that they are investigating Ms. A (26) on charges of child abuse resulting in death. Ms. A is accused of repeatedly hitting her daughter, Ms. B (4), on the face and other areas at their home in Geumjeong-gu, Busan, around 6 a.m. on the 14th. After the assault, Ms. B's condition worsened, and she was brought to the hospital at 7:35 p.m. the same day, but was already deceased.
The police received a report from a doctor who suspected abuse and urgently arrested Ms. A at the home. It is reported that Ms. A assaulted Ms. B because she did not obey.
