Earlier, the Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted an expected snowfall of 3 to 8 cm in the province from morning to afternoon and issued a heavy snowfall warning (expected snowfall of 5 cm or more in 24 hours) for 13 cities and counties in the northeastern part of Gyeonggi, including Goyang City, as of 8:20 AM.
Accordingly, Gyeonggi Province entered Emergency Level 1 with 15 personnel working under the supervision of the head of the Natural Disaster Division, covering roads, railways, and agriculture sectors.

In particular, efforts will be made to prevent pedestrian safety accidents at bus stops and sidewalks near subway stations, as well as sidewalks near schools, where many commuters use during rush hours.
