Agreement on 200 Billion Won Scale Tourism Facility Investment

[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Sim Jeong-woo] Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced on the 14th that it signed an investment agreement for the Goheung Leisure Village (tentative name) development project worth 200 billion KRW together with Jeollanam-do and LF Co., Ltd.

The signing ceremony was attended by Gong Young-min, Governor of Goheung-gun, Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeollanam-do, and Oh Kyu-sik, CEO of LF Co., Ltd.

According to the agreement, Palyoung Landscaping, a subsidiary of LF Co., Ltd., will invest 200 billion KRW in a 1,866,000㎡ site in the Goheung area, planning to start construction in 2025. The project will include the development of a hotel, arboretum, art museum, and marine leisure facilities, creating 120 new jobs.

LF Co., Ltd. is a lifestyle culture company engaged in various lifestyle businesses such as fashion, food, and real estate finance. The Goheung Leisure Village (tentative name) development project will be promoted through its subsidiary, Palyoung Landscaping.

The Goheung Leisure Village (tentative name) development project is expected to create a “complex leisure and stay-type tourism hub” for healing tourism including marine leisure, culture, and experiences, not just simple tourism, by establishing a themed tourism hub linked to the region’s characteristics. It is also expected to generate synergy effects such as an increase in tourists.

Gong Young-min, Governor of Goheung-gun, said, “We deeply appreciate the large-scale tourism investment in Goheung-gun. LF Co., Ltd. will be a great help in creating new jobs and increasing the future resident population through attracting tourism industry investment in our population decline risk area, Goheung-gun.” He added, “We will do our best to provide administrative support so that the project can proceed without any setbacks.”
