View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] Nam Cheol-woo, former secretary general of the KBS Symphony Orchestra, will be inaugurated as the 13th president of the National Federation of Buddhist Journalists.
The National Federation of Buddhist Journalists announced on the 13th that the inauguration ceremony will be held on the 15th at the Yeouido Buddhist Propagation Center in Seoul.
President Nam joined KBS in 1996 and worked in the Public Relations Office and External Cooperation Team, later serving as secretary general of the KBS Symphony Orchestra and acting president. He is currently a researcher at the KBS Public Media Research Institute. Since 2014, he has served as a member of the Media Committee of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, providing advice on Buddhist propagation and media.
President Nam said, "I will contribute to making Buddhism familiar and kind to everyone," adding, "I will practice meditation with members and widely spread the Buddha's teachings."
