Sacheon City Secures 14.8 Billion KRW Budget for Next Year's Key Park and Green Space Projects
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sacheon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 14th that it has secured 14.8 billion KRW in national and provincial government funding for next year's park and green space development projects.
With the secured funds, the city plans to create public park golf courses, outdoor gardens, children's parks, Mugunghwa (Rose of Sharon) gardens, and wooden cultural experience centers to expand the insufficient parks in urban areas and establish healing spaces where citizens can enjoy a healthy life and leisure activities.
In particular, the public park golf course will be developed at the Mochung Park area with an investment of about 8 billion KRW, built to international competition standards. The outdoor garden will be created at Migwan Square in Sanam-myeon with 500 million KRW in national funds, in collaboration with the Korea Arboretum, garden artists, and specialized companies.
Additionally, the wooden cultural experience center will be constructed over three years within the Sacheon Cable Car Natural Recreation Forest with a project budget of approximately 5.2 billion KRW, designed to allow visitors to experience the various functions of the cypress forest.
