The crisis alert level has also been raised from 'Interest' to 'Caution.'
According to the Ministry, snowfall of 10 cm or more is expected by the 14th in southern Gyeonggi, southern inland Gangwon, and northern Chungcheong, while around 5 cm of snow is forecast for southern Gyeonggi, the Chungcheong region, Jeonbuk, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo. Earlier that day, as of 10 a.m., a cold wave advisory was already issued for most regions nationwide except Jeju, raising the cold wave crisis alert level from 'Interest' to 'Caution.'
Accordingly, the CDSCH urged the full mobilization of available resources in the central region to carry out timely snow removal operations and to thoroughly control and manage safety in hazardous areas and facilities in advance. For areas experiencing rain, there is concern that wet road surfaces may freeze overnight, so preemptive application of de-icing agents was ordered.

Furthermore, to avoid confusion during commuting hours, active promotion of public transportation information was requested, and in case of sudden situations like road icing, public guidance should be provided using the Urban Traffic Information Center and disaster text messages.
