Gwangju Bank Selects the 7th and 8th 'Hope Blossoms Dream Tree' for Local Talent Development
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Bank recently held a selection ceremony for the 7th and 8th recipients of the Hope Blossoms Dream Tree program at its headquarters, attended by Song Jong-wook, President of Gwangju Bank, Kim Hyun-mi, Head of the Gwangju Regional Headquarters of the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, and other officials, the bank announced on the 13th.
At the ceremony, the selected youths for the 7th and 8th Hope Blossoms Dream Tree were invited to the headquarters, where they were encouraged with sponsorship funds of 3 million won each, along with gifts such as clothing and earphones that they had wished for.
The "Hope Blossoms Dream Tree" is a social contribution project promoted by Gwangju Bank, which returns more than 10% of its net income to the local community through various social contribution activities. It aims to nurture local talent by selecting middle and high school students in the region who strive for their dreams despite difficult family circumstances, have excellent academic and arts and sports achievements, and demonstrate good conduct, providing support until their university admission.
The youth selected as the 7th recipient is a promising future talent of the region with excellent academic performance and multiple competition awards despite difficult family circumstances. The 8th recipient is also a future talent of the region, showing outstanding talent as a sports dance athlete despite the challenges of a grandparent-headed household.
Gwangju Bank plans to support the two youths as Hope Blossoms Dream Trees by providing art support funds and study support funds respectively until they enter university.
