On the 12th, Boryung held an integrated certification award ceremony at its headquarters in Jongno-gu, Seoul, attended by Jang Doohyun, CEO of Boryung, and Lee Wonki, President of the Korea Compliance Certification Authority (KCCA), the company announced on the 13th.
ISO 37001 and ISO 37301 are international standards established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to ensure that companies operate in accordance with anti-corruption and anti-bribery measures, all laws, regulations, and codes of conduct. ISO 37001 contains rules regarding bribery or corruption prevention, while ISO 37301 further specifies compliance management policies that organizations must follow. Certificates are awarded to companies whose internal compliance management policies and risk management systems meet global standards, and annual follow-up audits are conducted to maintain the system.
Boryung has renewed its certification annually through follow-up audits since introducing ISO 37001 in 2018. With this integrated certification, it has now also obtained ISO 37301 certification.
Centered on the CP Operation Team, a dedicated compliance department, Boryung has operated a management system by frequently holding CP committees to monitor and prevent situations where violations could occur. Additionally, it actively works to internalize compliance management through the Boryung Fair Trade Compliance Manual, which provides guidelines and policies necessary for anti-corruption and compliance due diligence, operation of an internal reporting system, team-level internal audits, and ethics management workshops for all employees.
