The line dance team representing Goseong-gun at this competition, hosted by the Korea Gymnastics Association and sponsored by Jeollanam-do, Mokpo City, and the Jeollanam-do Sports Council, showcased their honed skills without reservation and encouraged and cheered on performances by teams from other cities and provinces.
Lee Soon-ae, who attended the competition, said, “I sincerely thank Goseong-gun and the welfare center officials who helped me participate,” and added, “I hope more diverse classes like the line dance class, which allows even the oldest participant at 84 years old to join, will be created, and that opportunities to participate in competitions will be frequent.”
Park Won-cheol, Director of Resident Life, who actively supported participation in the competition, said, “It is very rewarding that the welfare center’s resident class students won 2nd place at a national competition with skills they have developed over two years,” and added, “We are expanding the classes held at the welfare center branch to the main building as well.
