On the afternoon of the 10th, at the Anyang Indoor Ice Rink, during the game between HL Anyang and Japan's Higashi Hokkaido Cranes, T'way Air flight attendants conducted a puck drop as a ceremonial first pitch. During the break, a quiz event was held inside the venue, offering prizes such as free domestic flight tickets and model airplanes, providing the audience with a unique experience.
T'way Air and the HL Anyang ice hockey team signed an official partnership agreement last September to support the development and growth of the relatively less popular sport of ice hockey through airline travel support and joint marketing activities between the two companies.
This is to support the challenging spirit and sportsmanship of the ice hockey team, which is aiming to leap onto the global stage beyond Korea, through sports marketing linked to T'way Air's core business of air transportation.
Since the agreement, T'way Air has been providing discounted airfares and baggage transfer support on the Incheon-Japan route for the team traveling to participate in Asia League games in Japan. Additionally, for spectators visiting the Anyang Ice Rink, T'way Air has been promoting its new routes to Sydney and Singapore via electronic billboards and banners.
The HL Anyang ice hockey team is the only domestic team participating in the Asia League Ice Hockey and is a prestigious team with the most championships (6 times) in the Asia League. In the ongoing 2022-2023 Asia League Ice Hockey regular season, they finished the 2022 schedule in first place in the mid-season rankings.
