Hwasun-gun to Recruit 4,443 Participants for Next Year's Senior Job Program
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyuk-jun] Jeollanam-do Hwasun-gun announced on the 9th that it will recruit 4,443 participants for next year's Senior Job and Social Activity Support Project from the 15th to the 23rd.
The county will invest 15.8 billion KRW in project funds to operate 14 senior job projects across 4 sectors to promote active and healthy aging for local seniors.
Although the government's plan to reduce senior job projects initially meant a decrease of about 400 recruits, the county allocated an additional 1.2 billion KRW of its own budget to maintain this year's participation level.
The recruitment numbers are 4,213 for public interest-type projects such as creating beautiful villages, 120 for social service-type projects like childcare facility support, 10 for market-type projects such as Sarangchae Cafe, and 100 for self-operated projects including three-generation childcare helpers.
Eligibility requirements are as follows: public interest-type applicants must be basic pension recipients aged 65 or older; social service-type and self-operated applicants must be aged 65 or older; market-type applicants must be Hwasun residents aged 60 or older.
However, basic livelihood security recipients, livelihood benefit recipients, workplace health insurance subscribers, long-term care insurance grade assessors, and participants in job projects from other institutions are excluded.
Residents wishing to participate should bring identification, a resident registration certificate, and other related documents to the designated location on the specified application date for their town or township to apply.
For more details, refer to the announcement page on the Hwasun-gun website or contact the Family Vitality Division at the county office.
County Governor Koo Bok-gyu stated, “Despite government budget cuts, we focused on maintaining this year's scale to ensure active and healthy aging for local seniors. We will continue to develop various senior job creation plans to support seniors' social participation and vibrant later life.”
