This donation consists of 1,600 boxes of kimchi and 500 winter blankets, contributed by BNK Gyeongnam Bank to support neighbors in need for a warm winter. These items will be distributed to households in crisis during the winter through the town and township offices.
BNK Gyeongnam Bank has supported kimchi donations every winter, provided gift certificates during the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays, and supplied essential daily necessities such as fans, cool boxes, and living kits in the summer, leading the promotion of a culture of sharing in the local community.
As the year-end approaches, it is hoped that the year-end will be filled with happiness and warmth for the marginalized groups through the sharing and support of many companies, organizations, and citizens.
Choi Hong-young, President of Gyeongnam Bank, said, “With food prices rising, we prepared this donation of essential winter items such as kimchi and warm blankets with the hope that neighbors who are more worried, including the elderly living alone, disabled households, and single-person households, can get through the winter well. I hope these winter supplies will be delivered properly to those in need.”
