Emart, Christmas Toy Event... Up to 50% Discount
Increase Discounts and Extend Event Period
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Emart announced on the 8th that it will hold a "Christmas Toy Festival" offering up to 50% discounts on popular character toys, block toys, Playmobil, and more until the 25th of this month.
This event increases the discount rates and starts a week earlier to enhance customer benefits. Previously, the Christmas toy event was held for about two weeks starting from the third week of December, but this year it begins earlier and the event period has been extended by 6 to 7 days.
According to Emart, about 25% of toy sales right before Christmas occur during the first and second weeks of December. It is estimated that toy purchases increase even before the event starts due to customers having limited time or wanting to secure popular products in advance.
Emart offers a 10,000 KRW discount for full purchases of 70,000 KRW or more on all toys using the event card, and sells event products at up to half price when paid with the event card. Popular items such as LEGO and character toys are discounted by up to 50%, and various gift promotions are also prepared. Customers who spend 100,000 KRW or more on all LEGO products will receive a planner and calendar set, and ahead of the release of the Avatar sequel movie, Emart exclusively sells four LEGO Avatar sets. When purchased together with a LEGO start pack, customers can get a start pack worth 5,900 KRW completely free.
Starting from the 15th, Emart will additionally hold a "Digital Game Christmas Gift Event." This will include a 10% discount on all Nintendo Switch titles, an additional 5% discount when paying 100,000 KRW or more on titles with the event card, and a 20,000 KRW discount on the Switch console (HAD) when paid with the event card.
