Seoul Milk Union Begins Partial Strike... Disagreement Over Wage Increase
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] The Seoul Milk Cooperative Union has entered a partial strike after failing to reach an agreement with management on wage increases.
According to Seoul Milk on the 7th, the union began the partial strike from that day. The day before, Seoul Milk had also issued a prior notice that the supply of milk products to convenience stores might be disrupted.
The Seoul Milk labor and management are currently conducting wage negotiations for this year, but have not reached an agreement due to differences in opinions over the rate of increase. Previously, management proposed a wage increase rate in the 1% range, but the union did not accept it.
