Yeonggwang-gun Successfully Concludes the 10th Youth Culture Festival
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kang Jongman) announced on the 6th that it recently successfully concluded the ‘10th Yeonggwang-gun Youth Culture Festival’ at the Youth Culture Center Plaza.
Under the slogan ‘Rather Good! Early Christmas Party,’ this event was planned by a youth planning group of 30 teenagers and directly operated by 11 performance teams and 19 experience and food booths.
Hosted by Yeonggwang-gun and organized by ‘Youth Jaramteo Oneul,’ it was a festival by youth, for youth, drawing out the teenage sensibility to the fullest through indirect support.
It was the first face-to-face festival in three years due to COVID-19, and although there were difficulties such as the event being postponed due to the Itaewon tragedy, it was remembered as a lively stage filled with excitement for three hours with families and friends gathering after a long time.
During the recreation with Santa and the DJing party, the maximum decibel cheers and enthusiasm erupted.
The county deployed 15 safety and emergency personnel for event safety and COVID-19 prevention, and with cooperation from the police station and fire station, it was a safe and successful event that adhered to order maintenance and quarantine rules, according to a self-assessment.
Governor Kang Jongman said, “I hope this will be a happy time where the youth who will lead the future of the county can freely express their dreams and talents,” and added, “Next year, we will prepare more diverse and substantial programs so that many youths and families can participate.”
