Since 2010, about 100 employees have participated annually in kimchi-making events to help neighbors in need. Due to the impact of COVID-19, since 2020, employees have purchased kimchi using funds collected from small contributions and company support to carry out the event.
Kim Cheolsu, General Manager of the plant, said, “We hope to provide some support to low-income residents in the area who are economically vulnerable,” and added, “We will continue to take the lead in realizing social value through ongoing sharing activities.”
Park Kyungha, Director of the Social Welfare Bureau who participated in the event, said, “We sincerely thank all the executives and employees of Hyosung TNC and Hyosung Chemical Gumi Plant who continue to practice sharing with a consistent heart for our neighbors this year as well,” and added, “We will carefully deliver Hyosung’s warm love and concern for the citizens of Gumi to our neighbors.”
