Gyeonggi Office of Education Forms 'Yeoyajeong Consultative Body' with Provincial Council

On the 6th, the Gyeonggi Office of Education announced that on the 5th, it signed a business agreement with the Gyeonggi Provincial Council for the 'Ruling Party-Opposition Party-Government Consultative Body' in the Gyeonggi Provincial Council's main conference room, agreeing to work together to realize Gyeonggi education policies.
The Ruling Party-Opposition Party-Government Consultative Body was formed for the Gyeonggi Office of Education and the Provincial Council to mutually cooperate, discuss Gyeonggi education policies, and resolve educational issues.
About 30 people attended the agreement ceremony, including Lim Tae-hee, Superintendent of Gyeonggi Education, Yeom Jong-hyun, Chairperson of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council, Kwak Mi-sook, Representative Member of the People Power Party, Nam Jong-seop, Representative Member of the Democratic Party of Korea, and officials from the Gyeonggi Office of Education.
The consultative body is chaired jointly by Lee Kyung-hee, the First Deputy Superintendent of Education, and representatives Kwak Mi-sook and Nam Jong-seop. It consists of 7 members from the Gyeonggi Office of Education (Superintendent, First Deputy Superintendent, Director of Planning and Coordination Office, Director of Education Policy Bureau, Director of Administration Bureau, Director of Education Cooperation Bureau, Director of Curriculum Bureau) and 13 members from the Gyeonggi Provincial Council (Chairperson, Representative Members of the People Power Party and Democratic Party, Chief Deputy Representative, Chairperson of the Policy Committee, Chief Spokesperson, Chiefs of Legislation, Political Affairs, and Planning), totaling 20 members.
The Ruling Party-Opposition Party-Government Consultative Body will discuss ▲ the establishment and operation of ordinances ▲ Gyeonggi education policies ▲ budget proposals and ordinances ▲ ordinance maintenance and prior review ▲ and major social issues at one regular meeting each in the first and second halves of the year and one temporary meeting quarterly.

Superintendent Lim Tae-hee said, "There is no distinction between ruling and opposition parties when it comes to providing good education and desirable education for the future to children," adding, "I hope that all members of the consultative body communicate with the same purpose and become a body that unites through communication and cooperation for the children."
