BITZER Korea, a global refrigeration and air conditioning company headquartered in Germany, recently donated BITZER refrigerant compressor cut-away models as part of its corporate social responsibility program, together with its domestic dealers Samyoung General Equipment and Daesung Marif.
Pukyong National University established the first Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering major in the nation in 1978 and has nurtured talent in the refrigeration and air conditioning field for over 40 years.
BITZER Korea began operations in Korea in 1987, growing alongside the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, and plans to strengthen cooperation with universities starting with this donation to cultivate outstanding talent in refrigeration and air conditioning technology.
The donated refrigerant compressors are three cut-away models: a 4-cylinder semi-hermetic reciprocating compressor (4VES-7Y), a semi-hermetic compact screw compressor (CSH6553-35Y), and a hermetic scroll compressor (GSD80235VWB431).
In particular, the compressors were partially cut and manufactured by a specialized company from finished products to allow direct observation of the compressor interiors.
Pukyong National University plans to actively utilize these compressor models in classes such as experiments and practical training for students majoring in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering to foster talent with field-oriented practical skills.
