The Glotel Awards is an awards ceremony conducted by the global ICT research organization Informa, targeting telecommunications companies worldwide. This ceremony selects companies that have achieved performance and innovation in areas including network technology, brand, and marketing.
KT was nominated in three categories: 'Best Telecom Company,' 'Wired Network Evolution,' and 'Security Solution of the Year.' The Best Telecom Company award is given to the telecom company that receives the highest score based on a comprehensive evaluation of outstanding business achievements and records, such as 5G services.
KT was the first domestic telecom company to commercialize nationwide 5G Standalone (SA) mode and was highly evaluated for successfully transforming into a digital platform company based on artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud technologies.
