One Spot for Chairman Candidates... Shinhan Financial Group's 'Hope Bundle' Production Volunteer Activity
All Chairman Candidates Including Cho Yong-byeong, Jin Ok-dong, and Lim Young-jin Attend
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Shinhan Financial Group announced on the 2nd that it conducted a volunteer activity to create Hope Packages for children at local community centers on the morning of the 1st at Cafe Sweet Sol located in Myeongdong, Seoul. Attending the event were Chairman Cho Yong-byeong, Shinhan Bank President Jin Ok-dong, Shinhan Card President Lim Young-jin, and other group CEOs.
On this day, Chairman Cho and about 50 executives and employees participated in an event to personally assemble Hope Packages containing nutritional supplements, portable battery hand warmers, knee blankets, and various school supplies to help children at local community centers stay healthy and bright during the cold winter. Additionally, they donated a total of 100 million KRW in sponsorship funds to Save the Children for the delivery of 700 Hope Package sets.
Since 2019, Shinhan Financial has continuously engaged in volunteer activities for children under the theme of "Creating a Bright Future." These activities include sharing for children awaiting adoption at infant temporary shelters, delivering solar lanterns for children in Africa, and supporting Korean language education for children from multicultural families.
