Shilla Duty Free Collaborates with Gucci Beauty to Launch Metaverse 'Gucci Beauty Garden'
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Shilla Duty Free announced on the 2nd that it will hold the duty-free industry's first Gucci Beauty metaverse non-face-to-face beauty class at the 'Gucci Beauty Garden' set up on the metaverse platform 'ZEP'.
At the newly prepared Gucci Beauty Garden for this metaverse non-face-to-face beauty class event, customers can create their own avatars and explore every corner of the Gucci Beauty House and garden to experience various Gucci Beauty products. In addition, customers can actively participate through interactive communication by watching the beauty class event in real time, sending questions directly to the presenters, or chatting with other participants.
Since COVID-19, Shilla Duty Free has successfully held a total of seven non-face-to-face beauty classes, including the recently conducted La Prairie beauty class. On the 28th of last month, it also signed a business agreement with a metaverse content art-tech company to build a metaverse studio. Through this metaverse beauty class, it plans to continue digital innovation and open a new horizon for beauty classes.
This beauty class, hosted by former SBS announcer Jang Yewon and beauty influencer Kim Bora, is based on makeup lessons by makeup artist Park Sang-eun and introduces the new product ‘Gucci Flora Collection’. It will be conducted by allowing 100 pre-selected VIPs to experience the products delivered in advance in accordance with the makeup artist’s demonstration.
