Professor Jeong Giju of Dongmyeong University, Excellence Award in the 3rd KIPA Public Leadership Paper Contest
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Dooyul] Professor Jeong Giju of the Student Military Education Corps at Dongmyung University was selected as an outstanding work in the "3rd KIPA Public Leadership Thesis Contest" with his thesis titled "The Structural Relationship between the Army's Public Leadership, Positive Psychological Capital, and Organizational Commitment in the New Normal Era."
This contest was hosted by the Korea Institute of Public Administration, a national research institute under the Prime Minister's Office.
The thesis conducted an empirical analysis on the structural relationship between the leadership types of army commanders and the positive psychological capital and organizational commitment of newly commissioned officers, which had been overlooked until now, and attempted the first effectiveness analysis by leadership type.
Professor Jeong emphasized the need for the entire organization to respond to the changed era through individual self-sacrifice, organizational innovation, and a paradigm shift in education to secure sustainable growth momentum for the university.
