11st, An Jung-eun Becomes First Female CEO... Launch of Co-CEO System with President Ha Hyeong-il
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] 11st has appointed its first female Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
11st announced on the 1st that An Jeongeun, Chief Operating Officer (COO), has been nominated as the new CEO. An Jeongeun will officially assume the role as co-CEO alongside President Ha Hyeongil after approval from the board of directors.
An, known as an e-commerce service planning expert, previously worked at Yahoo Korea, served as head of Naver’s service planning team, PO director at Coupang, and head of LF e-service planning division. She joined 11st during the launch of the newly established corporation in 2018 and has since been responsible for overall service planning and operations.
In particular, she led the overall planning and operation of the Amazon Global Store and the live commerce platform ‘Live11’ launched last year.
An stated, “In the fiercely competitive market environment against other e-commerce players, 11st has always strived to create sustainable services by prioritizing customer experience. We plan to focus on maximizing 11st’s unique strengths to provide customers with the best shopping experience.”
