[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Avian influenza (AI) has been detected at a duck farm in Goheung, Jeonnam, where about 26,000 ducks are being raised, and investigations are underway to determine whether it is highly pathogenic.
The Central Accident Response Headquarters announced on the 26th that the H5 subtype antigen of avian influenza was confirmed at a meat duck farm located in Goheung-gun, Jeonnam. After the antigen was confirmed, an initial response team was deployed to the site to implement quarantine measures such as access control, culling, and epidemiological investigation.
