Large-scale Rally in Downtown Seoul Today... Police Expect Traffic Congestion
[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that on Saturday the 26th, large-scale rallies will be held in various parts of the city center, including Sejong-daero, Euljiro, and Hangang-daero, causing severe traffic congestion.
According to the police, rally stages will be set up from early morning along Sejong-daero (from Sejong-daero Intersection to Sungnyemun Intersection), in front of Dongwha Duty Free Shop, and near Sungnyemun. In the late afternoon, a march of the rally procession is scheduled from the Bank of Korea, passing Jonggak Station, Anguk Station, Gwanghwamun Station, heading toward Daehanmun. Due to the march, sections of Sejong-daero and Namdaemun-ro will be restricted.

The Seoul Police Agency plans to install about 60 guide signboards along the rally and march routes and deploy around 300 personnel, including traffic police, to direct vehicle detours and manage traffic. A Seoul Police official urged, "Please use public transportation such as the subway as much as possible, and if you use a vehicle, check traffic information in advance."
