Received High Praise for Community Dementia Prevention and More
[Jindo=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Namjoong] At the dementia management project development competition hosted by Jeollanam-do, the Jindo-gun Public Health Center Dementia Safety Center and Jindo Senior Welfare Center achieved the remarkable feat of simultaneously winning the grand prize in the public and private sectors, respectively.
The competition is held annually targeting 22 cities and counties in Jeonnam Province to create a dementia-friendly environment and promote development.
Jindo-gun was selected as a pilot institution for both sites in the Public Procurement Service's excellent innovative product 'Palpal Care' contest as a regionally specialized project.
Accordingly, the public-private cooperative rural digital dementia prevention rooms operated at the Dementia Safety Center and Jindo-gun Senior Welfare Center received high evaluations.
The Jindo-gun Public Health Center Dementia Safety Center, opened in December 2018, offers various services such as early dementia screening, treatment cost support, branch office operations in Imhoe, and visiting classes.
Jindo-gun stated, "We will continue to expand programs linked with various resources and strengthen dementia care services," adding, "We will do our best to make Jindo-gun a place free from dementia worries."
