Dongshin University College of Liberal Arts Hosts '2022 Character Education Symposium'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The College of Liberal Arts at Dongshin University held the '2022 Dongshin University Character Education Symposium' on the 24th using an online non-face-to-face platform.
The symposium was attended by 300 Dongshin University faculty, staff, and students who pre-registered online.
Under the theme "If You Want a Sustainable World, Campaign," the event featured a two-hour session including a keynote presentation by Professor Lee Jong-hyuk of Kwangwoon University and a discussion with Dongshin University professors Lee Kyung-dong (Department of Companion Animal Science), Joo Jin-geol (Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering), and Park Hee-hyun (Department of Counseling Psychology).
Kim Seong-su, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Dongshin University, said in his welcoming remarks, "True character in our era is the courage to think rightly, act in the right direction, and practice accordingly," adding, "I hope this will be a time for everyone to reflect and contemplate so that all can coexist and be happy."

President Lee Joo-hee emphasized in her congratulatory speech, "The reason we emphasize character is to live a better life, and therefore, self-reflection, concern and consideration for others, communal living together, and further, the effort to create a sustainable world are necessary," stressing, "I hope the changes that start from us will lead to a small butterfly effect that transforms the region and society."
