View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Lee Byeongno, the mayor of Damyang County, announced the direction of next year's county administration through a policy speech at the 2nd regular meeting of the 316th Damyang County Council held on the 25th.
Mayor Lee Byeongno stated, "In 2023, the practical first year of the 8th popularly elected term, we will break away from past customs and practices and gather all our capabilities to lay the foundation for the four years of the 8th term to build a new Damyang together with the residents," and presented key policies by sector to realize this concretely.
The six key policy areas to lead next year, revealed in the policy speech, are ▲ fostering wealthy farmers to create prosperous rural communities ▲ realizing filial administration through Damyang-style village welfare ▲ making Damyang a place where youth return and full of vitality ▲ improving residential conditions by establishing social infrastructure ▲ Damyang as a Namdo cultural tourism city where residents and tourists are happy together ▲ implementing inclusive and empathetic administration through communication with residents.
To support these key policies, Damyang County prepared the 2023 budget at 516.7 billion KRW, an increase of 9.3% compared to this year's original budget, and submitted it to the county council.
