Dongbu Construction to Build Korea's First National Fire Hospital
[Asia Economy Reporter Noh Kyung-jo] Dongbu Construction announced on the 23rd that it has won the contract for the construction of the National Firefighters Hospital.
The total construction cost is approximately 51.8 billion KRW, and Dongbu Construction will act as the lead contractor with an 85% stake.
The National Firefighters Hospital is the first national medical facility in Korea, being built in Chungbuk Innovation City, Eumseong-gun, Chungbuk Province. It will be constructed with 2 basement floors and 4 above-ground floors, providing specialized medical services tailored for firefighters, including treatment, psychological therapy, and trauma recovery.
Through the establishment of this National Firefighters Hospital, it is expected that the working environment for firefighters, who have faced difficulties due to the lack of specialized medical facilities, will improve.
Dongbu Construction, which ranked 4th in public construction contract wins in the first half of this year, recorded orders totaling 2.93 trillion KRW on a consolidated basis in the third quarter.
