Namhae-gun, Gyeongnam, and the Namhae Tourism and Culture Foundation achieved the great feat of winning awards in three categories at the '2022 SNS of the Year'.

The Namhae Tourism and Culture Foundation received the ‘Instagram of the Year Grand Prize’ and the ‘Excellence Award’ in the YouTube Nonprofit category at the ‘SNS of the Year’ awards.
In particular, Namhae-gun was honored with the Grand Prize in the Basic Local Government Blog category in 2019, followed by winning the Excellence Award in the same category for two consecutive years in 2021 and 2022.
Now in its 8th year, the ‘SNS of the Year’ is the most prestigious award in the SNS field, hosted by the Korea Social Content Promotion Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT.
The awardees are selected through a comprehensive analysis of SNS usage by public institutions, government ministries, and private companies, combining 40% quantitative evaluation and 60% expert evaluation.
The Namhae Tourism and Culture Foundation operates Instagram and YouTube channels featuring content such as ▲Gourmets who subscribe ▲The man delivering Namhae on behalf of others ▲Recommendations for hidden Namhae travel spots. Moving away from monotonous policy promotion, they created differentiated content based on stylish visuals and fresh ideas, capturing the attention of SNS users.
The official blog operated by Namhae-gun, ‘Namhaerang Sseumtaja,’ produced planned content that uniquely and attractively conveyed Namhae’s representative travel destinations in celebration of the 2022 Year of Visit Namhae.
Additionally, by operating an SNS informant group, they have produced rich and excellent content. They conducted ‘guerrilla events’ and served as a ‘comprehensive information hub’ delivering various news from all over Namhae-gun, fostering two-way communication with residents and tourists.
