Samsung Heavy Industries Wins Order for Two Shuttle Tankers Worth 346.6 Billion KRW

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] Samsung Heavy Industries announced on the 22nd that it has signed a construction contract for two shuttle tankers with an Oceania region shipowner.
A shuttle tanker is an oil tanker built to load crude oil produced at sea and transport it to onshore oil terminals. The total order amount for the two vessels is 346.6 billion KRW, and these ships are scheduled to be delivered sequentially by June 2025.
Including this contract, Samsung Heavy Industries has secured a total of 43 vessels worth 8.1 billion USD (approximately 10.9989 trillion KRW) so far this year, achieving 92% of its annual order target of 8.8 billion USD (approximately 11.9495 trillion KRW).
