Choo Kyung-ho Meets with Polish Finance Minister: "Strengthening Support for Defense and Nuclear Power Exports"
[Asia Economy Sejong=Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Choo Kyung-ho expressed his intention to strengthen support for defense and nuclear power plant exports during a meeting with the Polish Minister of Finance.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Finance on the 17th, Deputy Prime Minister Choo met with Magdalena Zajaczkowska, Polish Minister of Finance, at the Government Seoul Office and discussed ways to support defense and nuclear power plant export contracts between the two countries.
Deputy Prime Minister Choo said, "The recent defense export contract signed between Korea and Poland is an important example demonstrating the cooperative relationship between the two countries," adding, "The Korean government will actively support and back this contract at the government level."
He also requested Poland's support for the bilateral civilian nuclear power cooperation project and sought support for Korea's bid to host the 2030 Busan Expo.

Earlier, the Korean government signed a $12.3 billion export contract for tanks and fighter jets with Poland and agreed to develop a nuclear power plant based on the Korean model in the Pontnuf region of Poland.
