Citizen Group Files Complaint Against Priest Wishing for Yoon's Private Plane Crash
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Priests who caused controversy by posting messages hoping for the crash of President Yoon Seok-yeol's private plane have been reported to the police by a civic group.
The Committee for the Protection of the Common People's Livelihood reported former Anglican priest Kim Gyu-don and Catholic priest Park Joo-hwan to the National Police Agency on the 16th on charges of insurrection and defamation.
Earlier, former priest Kim wrote on social networking services (SNS), "I sincerely hope the (president's) private plane crashes. I wish the entire nation would unite in 'wishes for the crash'." The Anglican Church revoked his priesthood on the 14th, stating, "This is not an expression befitting a priest."
