UNIST and Samsung SDI Promote Training of 'Battery Specialist Talent'

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] UNIST and Samsung SDI have agreed to establish the ‘e-Battery Track Program’ for nurturing battery talent.
The signing ceremony was held on the 15th at the UNIST university headquarters, attended by President Lee Yong-hoon and Samsung SDI Research Director Jang Hyuk.
The ‘e-Battery Track Program’ by UNIST and Samsung SDI will be operated starting in 2023. Accordingly, Samsung SDI will select outstanding master's students from UNIST’s Department of Energy Chemical Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
The selected students will conduct secondary battery education and research at UNIST and participate in field-centered education and research, including visits to Samsung SDI’s industrial sites.

Upon completing the battery industry-tailored degree program, students will be employed by Samsung SDI. Samsung SDI will fully support tuition fees and scholarships for the degree program.
