"Please Suggest a New Name for Changwon City Bulletin" ... Changwon Special City, Subtitle Name Citizen Contest
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam is holding a contest to name the subtitle of ‘Changwon City News,’ the representative municipal newsletter published twice a month.
The city will maintain the official name ‘Changwon City News’ but plans to add a subtitle to easily and effectively convey the purpose of the newsletter’s production. The naming contest will be held for 20 days from the 15th to December 5th.
This contest was organized to select a fresh and creative name for the municipal newsletter through diverse ideas from citizens and to transform it into an information medium that communicates with the public. The city plans to prioritize selecting an original and easy-to-pronounce name that reflects the purpose of ‘a municipal newsletter created together by citizens and Changwon Special City’ and the unique characteristics of Changwon.
Anyone interested in Changwon City News can participate in the contest by downloading the application form from the Changwon City Hall website and submitting it via visit, registered mail, or email.
The submitted names will be reviewed, and in January 2023, one grand prize winner (500,000 KRW), one excellence prize winner (300,000 KRW), and one encouragement prize winner (200,000 KRW) will be selected and announced on the City Hall website and through ‘Changwon City News.’ The prize money will be awarded in Nubi-jeon (Changwon Love Gift Certificates) to promote the local economy.
