Gwangcheon-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju, Conducts Volunteer Organizing and Storage Service for Vulnerable Groups
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] The Gwangcheon-dong Village E-Room Residents Activity Group (Leader Park Mi-hyun) in Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 15th that they conducted the ‘Ga(家)kkumi’ volunteer activity coaching organizing and storage through talent donation on the 14th.
‘Ga(家)kkumi’ is a volunteer activity organized within the village E-Room, a welfare network in Gwangcheon-dong, by selecting volunteers from those who completed the ‘Professional Organizer Training’ promoted by Gwangcheon-dong Administrative Welfare Center (Director Jeong Yong-hak) in cooperation with Mujin General Social Welfare Center, supporting the organization of living items for vulnerable groups.
The activity group visited a low-income six-member household with four children and organized clothes and school supplies piled up in the children's rooms, disposing of unnecessary items to use the space efficiently.
The Village E-Room Residents Activity Group plans to educate the target household on storage and organizing methods so that they can maintain cleanliness and improve space utilization skills even after the service ends, rather than providing one-time support.
Jeong Yong-hak, Director of Gwangcheon-dong, said, “I deeply thank the ‘Ga-kkumi’ volunteers who willingly donated their talents to help families in need,” and added, “We will do our best to make Gwangcheon-dong a warm and caring community where dreams grow through continuous organizing and storage consulting services.”
