Imsil Cheese Theme Park, Exhibition of Ten Million Chrysanthemums... 830,000 Visitors
[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil Cheese Theme Park, a representative tourist destination in Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, created a tourism jackpot by recording over 830,000 visitors throughout last month along with the excitement of the ImsilN Cheese Festival.
The county announced on the 15th that following the ImsilN Cheese Festival held from the 7th to the 10th of last month, which attracted about 520,000 tourists, a total of approximately 830,000 tourists nationwide visited by the end of last month to see the chrysanthemum flower scenery of over ten million blooms.
This figure represents an increase of 310,000 compared to last year's chrysanthemum exhibition period and is analyzed to have greatly contributed to attracting tourists nationwide and revitalizing the local economy.
The main stage of the ImsilN Cheese Festival, Imsil Cheese Theme Park, was beautifully exhibited throughout last month with about 27,000 flowerpots filled without gaps, featuring chrysanthemum flower landscapes that massively shaped Father Jijeonghwan, the history of Imsil cheese, and mountain goats, as well as chrysanthemum sculptures in the shapes of angel wings, hearts, and crescent moons displayed in various places.
Additionally, night lighting was installed around the Imsil Cheese Theme Park area, creating a theme park atmosphere different from daytime, attracting visitors late into the night.
Thanks to this, even after the ImsilN Cheese Festival, numerous tourists from all over the country visited throughout last month, achieving significant results.
The chrysanthemum flower scenery of ten million blooms, which has received favorable reviews from tourists every year, once again confirmed its reputation and position as a representative autumn tourist destination by drawing exclamations from visitors this year as well.
In particular, this year's ImsilN Cheese Festival was held for the first time in three years due to COVID-19, and as the only nationwide festival themed around cheese and recognized as a Korean cultural tourism festival, it was a great success with crowds exceeding expectations throughout the festival period.
This year, cheese-related programs were more diversely organized than in previous festivals, and there was an abundance of cheese-related games, food, and entertainment everywhere at the festival site.
Local foods prepared by 12 eup-myeon lifestyle improvement associations and beef from female cows under 50 months old raised in the clean area of Imsil gained popularity, driving the festival's success.
County Governor Shim Min said, “This year's chrysanthemum exhibition was prepared with more colorful and abundant content than any other year, providing joyful memories to all visitors to the theme park,” and added, “We thank all the tourists who visited Imsil Cheese Theme Park from across the country.”
He continued, “We will review and supplement the shortcomings of this year and present an improved ImsilN Cheese Festival and autumn chrysanthemum exhibition next year that will contribute even more to the local economy.”
